Scania S770 RT Torpedo - Complete Custom Build
Some trucks stand out. Other trucks make history.
This unique Scania S770 RT Torpedo undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. As the first NewGen Torpedo with fully low CR20L cab, this truck immediately attracted all the attention during Superdik 2026. Within days, the truck became a sensation on social media with more than 400,000 views. Even before it was officially online, it had already been sold.
For HEJ Trucks we were asked to take care of both the complete exterior and the complete interior. A project in which everything revolves around appearance, craftsmanship and details.
Oldschool look with a modern BUFFL finish
One goal was central to the construction of this Torpedo: to create a truck that is instantly recognizable and impresses everywhere. The exterior was built in authentic old-school show truck style, combined with modern lighting and high-quality finishes. A custom light box was placed on the roof with wide beams, dual beacons and spotlights. The round sun visor with integrated lights enhances the classic character of the truck.
At the front, double-burners, Talmu’s, width posts and white/orange switchable lights provide an imposing look. Along the sides, the lighting was fully extended with oldschool Series 2 lights, light slats under the sideskirts and additional marker lights between the axles.
Behind the cab, we built a custom hose rack with an engraved and illuminated Torpedo plate. The rear was finished with a complete Swedish bumper equipped with sixteen square lights, a custom catwalk and additional marker lights. Rabbit ears exhausts, black wheel rings and numerous custom details complete the overall picture.
Full Custom Luxury interior
Where the exterior draws immediate attention, the interior shows how much attention was put into every detail. The entire cabin was constructed in a luxurious dark brown and bordeaux color combination with red accents throughout the entire interior. The headliner is done in a flat pattern with red stitching, integrated spotlights and red LED lighting. Together with the tightly upholstered side and rear headlining, it creates a quiet, luxurious look that perfectly matches the truck’s character. The original V8 seats were completely reupholstered in dark brown leather with diamond stitching and red stitching. Dashboard, door panels, floor, front enclosure and sleeping area were completely custom finished so that everything is one unit.
Finishing to the smallest detail
Further finishing also shows what BUFFL stands for. Interior features included:
- Illuminated 770 RT logo bar
- Red mood lighting throughout the entire cabin
- Embroidered 770 RT logo in the floor
- Custom mattresses with diamond pattern
- Luxury curtain set all around
- Completely rebuilt front cabinet
- BUFFL x HEJ custom pillows
Every choice of material, stitching and lighting line is coordinated with the rest of the interior.
Result
This Scania S770 RT Torpedo has become much more than a truck. It’s a complete custom build in which exterior, interior and lighting are fully matched. A truck built for mileage, but just as well built to impress. A project where craftsmanship, passion and truckstyle come together in one unique appearance.
