Scania 770S with unique lift bed - customization without limits
Some projects are special. And sometimes one comes along that transcends all. This is such a project.
For SLS Transport from Germany, we converted a Scania 770S into a driving lounge. Complete with a unique lift bed. Never done before. So just do it.
From idea to eye-catcher
It started with a visit to our workshop in Ravenstein. Martin Schmieg, owner of SLS Transport, knew one thing for sure: his truck had to be different from all the others. A lounge area behind the seat, with refrigerator and coffee maker. Comfort, style and relaxation after long drives. But that brought a challenge: where to put the bed? Our solution: a fully integrated lift bed.
Smart technology, sleek design
For BUFFL, this was the first time we built a lift bed in a truck. So we went back to basics and looked at solutions outside the truck world. Inspired by RVs, we developed a system with a motor and pulleys, fully integrated into the interior. The bed moves smoothly up and down and, when folded, forms a sleek finished canopy.
The finish? As you would expect from us:
quilted faux leather, perfectly matching the rest of the interior. And as if that were not enough, we incorporated a display cabinet under the bed that moves with it, including space for bottles and glasses. Functionality and experience in one.
Pushing boundaries is part of it
A project like this requires creativity, guts and craftsmanship. At BUFFL, we say anything is possible. Then you have to make it happen. This lift bed is the perfect example of that: an idea that did not yet exist in this form, translated into a working, sleek solution. From first sketch to realization: everything is right.
The overall picture is right
The lift-up bed is the eye-catcher, but the entire interior is built to level. Leather seats, refined diapering, ambient lighting and an illuminated V8 logo in the table complete this cabin. Everything oozes luxury, power and customization. You won’t see a truck like this a second time.
Built to be seen
The reactions? They speak for themselves. From the first meters on the road to shows like the Truckstar Festival. This Scania attracts attention. And rightly so.
This is no standard truck. This is BUFFL at its best.
