Scania T500 from Ottesen Transport - family business with a BUFFL total project
Ottesen Transport has been a household name in the transportation business for nearly 70 years. Once started as a cattle trade under father Peter, now grown into a strong cattle transport company with son Kent at the helm. With Charlotte in administration and HR and son Frederik on the road himself in his Scania, everything is about family, hard work and love for trucks. For this Scania T500, we were allowed to completely tackle both the interior and exterior. No separate upgrade, but one complete BUFFL total project.
Exterior: light, strength and recognizability
The truck is completely painted in Ottesen Transport’s corporate colors, making it instantly recognizable on the road. The rear bumper features 8-5-8 LED lighting, combined with additional lighting in the side screens and under the front bumper. On the roof, the iconic Michelin men are placed on the roof rail, fully illuminated and combined with powerful high beam spotlights.
In addition, the Scania features:
- 2/3 series top lights on both sides of the cab
- LED illuminated front main plate holder
- Smooth finished back wall with LED accents
- 95 cm stainless steel air horns
- Illuminated details at sun visor and side panels
- Dual burners on roof spoilers, side panels and rear end
- Wheel hub spinners with custom decals
All together creates an exterior that is not only visible, but truly present on the road.
Interior: completely BUFFL in every detail
Inside, the story is at least as strong. The headliner is fully knotted and features integrated lighting. The side and rear walls are done in a half knotted, half flat design with an illuminated company logo in the rear wall. The knotted bottom plate of the front cabinet features LED dots that atmospherically illuminate the front window strip by arc. Two speakers are also built-in here for additional sound.
Finish and comfort
The door panels are fully knotted, as is the bed plate that also incorporates the company logo. The engine tunnel features a logo as an additional interior detail.
The Scania is further equipped with:
- New 3-spoke handlebars
- Painted dashboard with dipped knobs
- Illuminated seat corners and mood lighting
- Completely new finish in floor and panels
